Road cold recycler construction in Huaihua, Hunan





The road in-situ cold regeneration process is an environmentally friendly, low-cost, high-efficiency road regeneration process, which has gradually been promoted and applied in China since 1998. Hunan Province has begun to promote road cold regeneration overhaul technology since 2012. Huaihua, Zhuzhou, Shaoyang, Changde and other 7 cities and prefectures have widely adopted this technology, with a total promotion and application mileage of 63 kilometers. About 250,000 tons of old asphalt pavement materials are recycled, and the recycling rate is 100%, with an investment of about 7 million yuan. Compared with traditional maintenance methods, it can save more than 60% of energy and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by more than 80%. In 2013, after comprehensive evaluation, summing up the gains and losses, Hunan Province has further expanded the application scope of cold recycling technology this year. Huaihua City is an area where cold recycling applications are relatively early in Hunan Province. The area for cold recycling applications has expanded further this year. In view of the fact that the cold recycling process is a brand new road overhaul process, based on the experience of the cold recycling overhaul project last year, the Huaihua Highway Bureau decided to rent two sets of Ruima cold recycling construction machinery from Henan Longyu Engineering Co. Complete the cold regeneration overhaul project of two highway sections this year.

Huaihua City's two cold recycling projects in 2013 were the Hongjiang section of the G320 national road and the Jingzhou section of the S222 provincial road. The total overhaul mileage of the two sections exceeded 60 kilometers. During the project investigation phase, our company and Henan Longyu Engineering Company conducted a site inspection and found that although the two sections of the road are trunk roads, the roadbed is severely damaged, the strength of the roadbed is medium, and the strength of the cold recycling machine is not high. All of them belong to hills and mountains, with many slopes and many curves, which makes construction management difficult, and site management needs to be strengthened.

From late June to early July, two sets of cold-regeneration units led by Xuzhou Ruima 600 horsepower have entered the market. One 600-horsepower cold recycler is WR2300L produced by Xuzhou Ruima Heavy Industry in 2012, and the other is Xuzhou Ruima. The 600-horsepower WR2300E full-electric cold pavement regenerator newly launched by Heavy Industry this year has full electric control of machine operation and automatic control of water spray for comfortable and convenient operation. Both cold recycling machines are equipped with removable heavy-duty rotors for tool magazines, suitable for cold recycling of water-stable subgrades. After the two units entered the site, after preliminary preparations, cold-recycling construction started on schedule. The actual construction process is in line with the on-site inspection expectations. The construction of the cold recycling machine is fast, with an average speed of 7 meters / minute, which is relatively fast in the cold recycling construction of the national highway and provincial highway. The Municipal Highway Bureau inspected the construction process on the spot and found that Henan Longyu Engineering Co., Ltd. was proficient in operating the construction machinery and properly managed on site, showing a domestic first-class level of cold recycling construction, and is a professional cold recycling construction team.
